Objectives

Identify key drivers in commercially successfully projects.

Criteria

1. Design (up to 10 points)

  • Design is a key factor in the combined success of all projects. This category will assess how design, planning and physical elements were used to meet the projects overall objectives.
  • All entries shall include a project summary, a brief narrative (max. four pages) describing the projects goals and objective, physical description, design and planning mission, financial constraints, as well as development and market strategies. Graphic diagrams and photos of the project should accompany the descriptions identifying key features related to the design, planning, problem solving and general aesthetics of the project. Please note the success of the projects goals, objects and delivery will be quantified in category 4.

2. Innovation (up to 10 points)

  • Innovation has the ability to set any project apart from the rest and begin larger trends that have a tangible affect from a variety of perspectives. This category will assess how innovative approaches to the physical delivery of the project. This includes aesthetics; planning, market tailoring, branding, merchandising, and servicing that make the project unique to its category.
  • All entries shall include a descriptive narrative and graphic representation of all innovations the projects team feels important to its success.

3. Implementation (up to 10 points)

  • Implementation is the level of expertise demonstrated in the execution of the project. This category will assess how the project was executed taking into consideration all levels of the project team including design, planning, development, construction, and any processes critical to the success of the project.
  • All entries shall include a descriptive narrative and graphic representation of the overall quality and execution of the project.

4. Quantified Critical Success Factors (up to 10 points)

  • Project narrative defining key successes for all related categories of development, construction, design, planning, retailing, services, finance and budgetary constraints. It should also include the factors related to the consumer or users assessment of the project. Quantitative project data, if available, should accompany the narrative. This would include but not limited to comparable development data such as foot traffic, sales/revenue data (psf), cost savings, financing, coordination, project delivery and any efficiencies achieved in the project process.
  • All entries shall include a descriptive narrative and graphic representation of the factors that define the success of the project.
