Parting Shot: Gehrying Up

If you’re putting up a building across from the Frank Gehry-designed Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, you need a big-name architect. How about Frank Gehry? Related Companies L.P. was able to score a coup and is now developing the Grand Avenue project with a new Gehry design to complement the existing music hall. (You can just see it poking out on in the lower-right hand corner). Located in the city’s Art District, the project will feature two new towers of luxury condominiums and will be part of a city block containing retail, restaurants and a hotel tower.
