The
Galleria at Roseville combines enclosed shopping areas with an open,
sun-splashed central food court. Four lead anchors surround an exciting
entertainment zone featuring a multi-screen cinema, bookstores, themed
adventure stores and eateries. Many of the project's artistic details
complement the area's historic architectural theme, especially in its
faade and pediment treatments. In addition, the site's history is
represented through whimsical sculptures, environmental signage and
themed fountains.
One of the dominant benefits to the center and the community is the botanical aspects of the center. Roses and gardens play an important thematic role in the overall design. The promenade's lush greenery, outdoor fireplaces, fountains and play areas create an ideal community gathering spot. The structures also contain design
elements that emulate the beautiful garden surroundings. Hugh graphic
roses perform way-finding functions at the Galleria's various entrances
and are reflected throughout the center in the form of lamp medallions,
touchier bases and railings.
