Green Tea Terrace

The design concept of Green Tea Terrace presents Asian green teas and green-tea-based products to American consumers in a comfortable, educational setting that encourages the trial of a variety of new flavors and products. The store achieves just the right balance between Oriental and cutting-edge trendy design.

The entry area has a computer with a touch screen monitor to allow consumers access to additional information about Green Tea Terrace and the health benefits of green tea consumption. A custom mural runs the length of the back wall of the service area, while a focal lit logo feature draws the eye to the rear of the store and the bulk tea and retail area beyond the service area. Product display features allow customer access to examine products, while product packaging, display and in-store graphics serve to educate the customer on the virtues and versatility of the ingredients.

The tone and intensity of the colors create a unique atmosphere. Rich shades of persimmon and celery with warm wood tones provide an inviting ambiance. The color palette was also used in the packaging to create a unified design, which brings the brand out of the store and into the home. A cultured stone wall treatment and faux stone floor tiles enhance the look of the store. This prototype design will then be adapted to future leased spaces.
