The latest Universal Studios store is located in an entertainment complex across from the front gate to Universal Studios Japan theme park. At the entrance, the store's ceiling extends from the interior to the covered walkway where the Universal Studios logo and spherical sign is dramatically suspended. The grand scale is intended as a welcoming invitation for visitors to enter the store.

A life-size Woody Woodpecker welcomes customers into the store atop a central round merchandising unit. Throughout the store, fragments of a globe are used to define the retail space plan and to create merchandising areas. The color palette is cool blues and whites contrasted by warm browns. Materials include stainless steel, metal and aluminum, MDF millwork and terrazzo tiles. Painted matte black, the ceiling structure is exposed to add to the sense of height and dimension.

A custom pattern was created using logos of the studios' films impressed on fabric. In dark blue, the abstract relief creates a Universal Studios galaxy. Imprinted sheets are suspended as bowed rectangular panels and archways to create focal points and to highlight merchandising areas.
