By the pure definition of the word "mixed-use," the Piazza Montana embraces the challenges and ultimately the benefits of this exciting building type. Piazza Montana integrates a careful blend of office, retail and housing that comes together in an exciting and unique ensemble of architectural spaces in this premier seaside location.

Designed in a sophisticated Venetian style with a terra cotta plaster exterior, it is located on a corner lot in a socially diverse area of Santa Monica. The development maximizes street frontage with retail fronts on both streets but does not forget the importance of human scale. A herringbone brick hardscape design encircles the development and sets the destination apart from surrounding uses. The ground floor retail boutiques blend perfectly with Montana Avenue's pedestrian-oriented upscale shopping district. Retail shops open to an interior fountain court, resplendent in colorful Catalina tile. The flowing fountain and landscaped courtyards on the second floor facing the offices and apartments are adorned with stunning Catalina tile.
