The Bon-Ton store incorporates three solutions that were central to the cost-effective design: using inexpensive materials in innovative ways, integrating existing graphics to create powerful visuals that characterize departments and convey the store's image, and an emphasis on lighting.

Large-scale, duo-toned lifestyle photographs greet customers on expansive curved walls framing the store entrance. Super-sized graphics used throughout the store reinforce the brand's lifestyle message and act as navigational tools. A circular traffic flow connects departments with eight focal points defined within the pathway. Curtain walls were removed and replaced by floating vertical planes as feature walls for merchandise displays. Indirect lighting emphasizes the promotional area. Materials and finishes are customized for each division and include glass, metal, paint and vinyl finishes.

Home furnishing elements project a residential feel for the cashwrap and customer service areas. White cashwraps look clean and modern against the colorful backdrop of apparel and accessories.
