3rd Nature

Sep 1, 2008 12:00 PM

There are bike shops and then there is 3rd Nature. Billed as a “cycling haberdashery, set in a gallery-like space,” the store in New Jersey has become a regional — and even national — destination for bicycle enthusiasts. Many who visit New York City make the trek to the New Jersey suburbs to take a gander at the company's wares.

Architect Reuben Gross Associates and retail designers Watt International sought to create a new space for 3rd Nature that could live up to its lofty perch in the bicycling world. The space they created offers customers access to frames, parts, accessories and service. The displays are also modular and flexible, enabling 3rd Nature to reinvent itself as its merchandise changes.
