Discover retail design that is fresh, soft and timeless. Elegant public spaces that encourage interaction and create a sense of community. Retail environments that engage people emotionally. Experience Fashion Place, redefined by General Growth Properties, and redesigned by MulvannyG2 Architecture. More than a place to shop, Fashion Place is a place to be.

The spirit of Fashion Place is found in each element of the design. Entwining the structure's original materials with new natural ones like stone and wood and modern elements including glass, metal and lighting communicates a fresh, sophisticated and warm sentiment, significantly enhancing the visitor experience.

New entryways present a refined level of quality and style to make visitors feel instantly that they are being welcomed to an engaging, comfortable space. The floor design weaves patterns that create a motion that carries the visitor throughout the concourse. Seating areas introduce rich textures, and lighting brings human scale and warmth to the space.

The addition of wood and soft lighting takes the original design and renews it with an upscale, contemporary flair. Clear glass, metal fixtures, and window walls open to the sky creating a modern experience that connects to the outside environment.

The food court design eliminates obstacles, allowing for effective flow. One unified restaurant space offers a multitude of vendors and variety. Skylight panels filter and soften light, culminating in a warm, upscale dining experience.

An adjacent courtyard offers visitors the option of dining outside, as well as the opportunity to rest, gather with friends, or simply take in the sun. A water feature provides a focal element, delivering an important public outdoor space for community interaction.

MulvannyG2 Architecture's holistic ap-proach to design and redevelopment transformed Fashion Place from a 1970s shopping center to a contemporary destination where people can gather, be entertained, visit, eat and, yes, shop.
