IN PROGRESS: Village At Gulfstream Park

Location: Hallandale Beach, Fla.

Size: 750,000 sq. ft. of retail, 1,500 condos, 140,000 sq. ft. of office space, a 500-room hotel and a 2,500-seat cinema. Phase 1 will include 375,000 sq. ft. of retail and 70,000 sq. ft. of office space.

Developer: Magna Entertainment Corp. and Forest City Enterprises Inc.

Cost: $1.2 billion

Completion: Phase 1 will be complete in fall 2008. Final build-out is slated for 2022.

Buzz: The developers recently received final approval from the city of Hallandale Beach to develop the property. Phase 1 will break ground in the spring.
