Asian demand is racing ahead, fed by the insatiable appetite for steel in China and, now, to help rebuild tsunami-destroyed buildings, according to MEPs International Ltd., a U.K.-based consulting firm that specializes in the metal At the same time, sluggish growth in the industrialized nations is keeping the U.S. and West European markets quite dull.
