Regency Centers broke ground for Seminole Shoppes, a 74,000-sq.-ft. shopping center in Neptune Beach, Fla. The project is scheduled to open in 2010.

Developers Diversified Realty Corp. appointed Daniel B. Hurwitz as president and CEO effective January 1, 2010. Hurwitz succeeds Scott A. Wolstein, who will continue to serve as executive chairman of Developers Diversified's board. Previously, Hurwtiz served as president and COO.

Developers Diversified Realty Corp. appointed Laura Skiver as business development manager. Prior to joining Developers Diversified, Skiver worked as a real estate asset manager with Smith Rothchild Financial.

Centergy Retail LLC and Hawkins Center LP will develop The Fountains, a 500,000-sq.-ft. power town center in El Paso, Texas. Ground-breaking is scheduled to take place in 2010, with the opening scheduled for 2011.

Donahue Schriber promoted Chris Elliott to vice president of leasing and hired Ryan Dan as a leasing representative in the company's Costa Mesa, Calif. office. Previously, Elliott served as director of acquisitions and development. Dan's prior position was at Opus West.

Federal Realty Investment Trust appointed Don Briggs, senior vice president of development, as head of its Boston office. Briggs has been with the firm since 2000. Prior to joining Federal Realty, he served as a development manager with Cousins Properties.

Donahue Schriber hired Christina Hundley as a leasing representative in its Scottsdale, Ariz. office. Prior to joining Donahue Schriber, Hundley worked as a retail leasing manager with the Macerich Co.

Madison Marquette appointed Patrick W. Walmsley as managing director. Prior to joining Madison Marquette Walmsley served as managing director with Eastdil Secured.

NewOak Capital appointed Amy Levenson as managing director and chairman of its commercial real estate loans and properties capital markets group. Prior to joining NewOak Capital, Levenson worked at Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital and Grubb & Ellis.

Molinaro Kroger promoted Mark Morris to executive vice president.

Colliers International hired Jeff Albee as senior vice president and Jeff Gould and Chris Itule as senior associates. The team previously worked in Sperry Van Ness' Calabasas, Calif. office.

SRS Real Estate Partners hired Greg George as vice president in its Newport Beach office. Prior to joining SRS, George served as regional vice president with Dick's Sporting Goods.

Edens & Avant appointed Jessica Bruner as vice president of leasing. Previously, Bruner served as director of leasing with the firm.

Legend Properties, Inc. hired David Joseph and his team of 18 commercial real estate agents. Prior to joining Legend Properties, Joseph worked at Coldwell Banker Diamond Elite.

Madison Marquette appointed Patrick W. Walmsley as managing director. Prior to joining Madison Marquette Walmsley served as managing director with Eastdil Secured.

Agree Realty Corp. will redevelop the southwest corner of 14th Street and Broadway in Oakland, Calif., which was previously occupied by a Gap store. The project is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2010.
