Renovations

Modesto, Calif. - Santa Monica, Calif.-based Macerich has announced plans to renovate its 1 million sq. ft. Vintage Faire Mall. The renovations will include a redesign of the mall's four department store courts, including the installation of accent flooring and the elimination of the mall's built-in tile planters. Brand new landscaping, seating and amenities are also planned for both of the mall's levels. Aditionally, Macerich plans to improve all lighting; replace wrought iron and wood handrails with glass; add a new "feature" elevator at center court; replace all existing escalators; install new restrooms; upgrade mall entrances and exterior; and install new environmental graphics.

Butler, Pa. - Pittsburgh-based J.J. Gumberg Co. recently completed a renovation and expansion of Clearview Mall. The 843,465 sq. ft. regional mall now features a 200,000 sq. ft. Boscov's department store. In addition, 43,000 sq. ft. were added to the mall's Bon-Ton anchor and 15,000 sq. ft. were added to its JCPenney anchor.
