Renovations

Sep 1, 2000 12:00 PM, SHOPPING CENTER WORLD STAFF

Montreal - A renovation is planned for the lower five floors of the Eaton's building. The developer, locally based Ivanhoe, has already begun work on the mixed-use complex, with completion projected for spring 2002. The anchor tenant for this $100 million investment is department store Les Ailes de la Mode. It will occupy 225,000 sq. ft., from the basement to the fourth floor. Plans are underway for a shopping mall with 70 shops and businesses on 135,000 sq. ft. from the metro level to the second floor. A hotel is being considered for the top floors.
