Atlanta-based Capital City Development Corp. recently purchased the Crossroads Mall in Charlotte and will spend $12 million to convert it to a Latin-themed shopping center. The center will be renamed the Plaza Fiesta Carolinas. It's the second such project for Capital City, which has been operating Plaza Fiesta in Atlanta for seven years.

The World's 10 Biggest Malls.
Emporis, a global provider of information on building data and
construction projects, revealed the ranking of the world's 10 biggest
malls, based on gross leasable area (GLA). It turns out nine of these
malls are located in Asia, with the two largest located in China.
