  • Columbus is the 15th largest city in the United States.

  • Delaware County was identified by American Demographics as being one of the 20 fastest-growing, wealthiest and most educated areas of the country.

  • With a 30.5% growth rate, Delaware County is the fastest growing county in Ohio based on 1997 US Census estimates.

  • Columbus, Ohio MSA includes six counties with a total population of 1,473,863, which is projected to increase to 1,549,635 by 2003.

  • Within a 5-mile radius, population projections show 4.5% growth from 1999 to 2004, increasing from 493,149 to 510,723.

  • Within a 40-mile radius, population projections show 3% growth from 1999 to 2004, increasing from 1,678,404 to 1,728,434.

  • More than 34% of households in a five-mile radius have average household incomes above $75,000 and nearly 20% have incomes in excess of $100,000.

  • More than 26% of Delaware County residents, aged 25 and above, have earned a bachelor's degree or higher, almost double the national average of 13.1%.
