40 Carrots

Sep 1, 2008 12:00 PM

Mancini•Duffy has come to be associated with Bloomingdale's and has won multiple SADI awards in the process for the firm's continually successful new stores and redevelopments. This year the company proved it also can do dining. After 32 years living on the metro level at the Bloomingdale's flagship in Manhattan, 40 Carrots eatery moved to the seventh level. The new restaurant also features an updated menu and increased seating capacity. The design is bright, modern and inviting. The color scheme is based on the idea of a garden and that idea is complemented through the use of natural materials. The seating area is reconstituted bamboo and the flooring is a sand-colored porcelain.
