Among our recent projects are Legacy Park, in Norman, Okla., and Towson Town Center, in Towson, Md. Legacy Park will offer a special environment where people can shop, work, meet friends at a café or watch the latest blockbuster. With such a unique combination of convenience and variety, Legacy Park will tap into an otherwise untouched market in Norman. Legacy Park is a regional destination and is in a prime position to take advantage of the region's customers. Legacy Park Town Center will contain 400,000 square feet of retail, restaurants and entertainment. The overall 300-acre mixed-use development when completed will include more than 2 million square feet of retail, restaurants, entertainment, offices, and a hotel and conference center.
Towson Town Center, built in the 1950s, is an older center remodeled in the early 1990s. Its tight space and unusual multilevel layout make for a challenging redevelopment. Carter & Burgess is designing a 90,000-square-foot expansion that maximizes retail on a 2-acre space, which includes a 2-story Crate & Barrel, Brooks Brothers, H&M and additional retailers. Most of the center's interior will also feature a new design, totaling more than 425,000 square feet. The expansion and renovation will link the multilevel A-shape layout to complete the circuit. An outdoor plaza with restaurants will link the center to the rest of the city. The existing food court area will be renovated, replacing a conservatory theme with a more contemporary look.
