New York-based Chase Manhattan Corp. has appointed Scott Davidson and Steven Schwartz as co-heads of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS). Davidson has been responsible for the capital markets and trading component of Chase's CMBS business and will continue to focus primarily on these functions. Schwartz, who has been overseeing CMBS loan origination since early this year, will have primary responsibility for loan origination, closing and servicing. Davidson and Schwartz are both managing directors.
