Baseball-size hail damaged about 1,000 cars during a violent storm in San Marcos, Tex., in April, with most of the smashed windows and dented metal at the Tanger and Prime outlet malls there. “It sounded like gunfire,” a shopper told a local paper.

Emporis, a global provider of information on building data and
construction projects, revealed the ranking of the world's 10 biggest
malls, based on gross leasable area (GLA). It turns out nine of these
malls are located in Asia, with the two largest located in China.
