DORSKY HODGSON PARRISH YUE

Sep 1, 2006 12:00 PM

Fresh thinking, innovative design and a collaborative approach — those core strengths enable Dorsky Hodgson Parrish Yue to translate client visions into meaningful and innovative designs that create a unique quality with a special sense of place.

As a leading national architectural, planning and interiors firm, our three design studios that focus on retail/commercial, residential and senior living communities — produce award-winning designs for a growing and discriminating client base throughout North America and beyond. These areas, significant in themselves, also provide the depth of expertise needed to blend different building types into vibrant and synergistic mixed-use developments — places where people shop, live, work and just stroll.

Today, municipalities seek to encourage smart growth in order to address critical urban challenges, affordable housing and traffic congestion against a decreasing inventory of rental apartments. Mixed-use projects such as DHPY's First Street Village and THE PLAZAS Town Centre address those challenges by creating a fresh and dynamic sense of place in established urban areas. These projects demand the deep insight and a depth experience of our diverse areas of expertise. That's why clients with mixed-use needs trust us as a knowledgeable source for that diversity of expertise.

With offices in Cleveland, Fort Lauderdale, and Washington, D.C., DHPY's design covers a full range of retail environments — lifestyle and specialty centers, mall repositionings and power centers, and hybrids that blend all of those. Given our additional core areas of expertise in office, residential and senior living, we are uniquely positioned to meet demanding mixed-use project requirements that incorporate those diverse components in a variety of unique New Urbanist settings. Recently, we expanded our executive team through a carefully planned transition, creating an organization that is strategically focused on enhancing its design leadership into the next generation.
