Hamilton Town Center in Noblesville, Ind., recently completed for Simon Property Group and Gershman Brown Crowley, is a hybrid retail center combining 600,000 square feet of Main Street/lifestyle retail, entertainment, office space, and 150,000 square feet of power retail, which exemplifies the desired results.

Saddle Creek, a Germantown, Tenn. high-density mixed-use project for Poag & McEwen, with its decidedly urban framework, is sited in a suburban environment. At one million square feet, the center includes 350,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, 150,000 square feet of class-A office space, 250 residential units and a 120-key hotel. A pedestrian-friendly community created by incorporating a variety of uses strategically positioned throughout the project, it conveys a strong sense of place. A series of active public spaces and visually stimulating streetscapes defines the experience for users moving from one end of the project to the other through a well-choreographed series of events. This movement transforms the space into a memorable and satisfying experience for the customer.
