Be prepared. That's what many of the 142 readers who responded to a Retail Traffic poll advised after Katrina tore through Louisiana and Mississippi. But how prepared are retailers, developers and insurers for the onslaught of claims? More than 82 percent of the respondents anticipate disputes. Almost 67 percent, meanwhile, said public/private partnerships should redevelop New Orleans.

Emporis, a global provider of information on building data and
construction projects, revealed the ranking of the world's 10 biggest
malls, based on gross leasable area (GLA). It turns out nine of these
malls are located in Asia, with the two largest located in China.
