Daktronics Inc. InfoNet LED message displays from Brookings, S.D.-based Daktronics Inc. offer shopping centers message board signs that can be changed for special events and promotions. The InfoNet outdoor signs are line-oriented LED displays that communicate with one to four lines of 9" high alphanumeric characters. The lines are made up of LED matrices using monochrome red LED pixels, which are made up of four individual LEDs for better readability.

American Scientific Lighting The Flutelite II from Brooklyn N.Y.-based American Scientific Lighting is an energy-efficient wall light that offers instant start capability with an optional emergency battery backup. Various lamp configurations and light levels are available.

Nu-Metrics Uniontown, Pa.-based Nu-Metrics offers "vehicle magnetic imaging" units that deliver an accurate profile of automobile traffic in shopping centers. The self-contained counters are embedded in each entry and access lane, where they magnetically register vehicle access and egress movements. The count data is then transmitted via an onboard 15-milliwatt radio transmitter to receivers and then to a computerized central monitoring station. The system provides both real-time and comprehensive reports.

Landscape Forms The Equinox fabric umbrella from Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Landscape Forms is specifically designed for commercial use. The frame and one-piece pole are manufactured with extruded aluminum. The nylon-lined hub is locked into place with a stainless-steel snap button. The 8' fabric canopy, made of marine-grade acrylic, is sewn with double seams and reinforced at stress points. The fade-resistant, mildew-proof canopies are available in a variety of colors.

Erie, Pa.-based Zurn Industries Inc. has introduced the Z-888 high-capacity trench drain system, which is intended for applications with high-water flow requirements, such as parking lots. The lightweight, 80" modular sections are made of polyethylene and feature a protective top that keeps the drain body free of debris during installation. A variety of slotted straight, slotted offset and grated top frames are available.

Bomanite Corp. The Micro-Top from Madera, Calif.-based Bomanite Corp. is a cementitious, colored topping system that allows unlimited color and design options for a variety of surfaces. The system uses a troweled-on topping that bonds to almost any horizontal or vertical substrate, including concrete, wood, metal, plastic or asphalt. The material can be installed in new or existing projects in a variety of ways.
