Stoneridge Centre Partners opened Phase I of Stoneridge Towne Centre in Moreno Valley, Calif. The project contains 518,000 sq. ft. of retail space.

AWE Talisman and Casino Retail Development will build Fashion Outlets of Cabazon at Morongo Casino Resort + Space in Cabazon, Calif. The center will feature 250,000 sq. ft. of open-air retail outlet space as part of the Morongo Casino Resort. Opening is scheduled for the spring of 2010.

Mary Lou Fiala officially took over as 49th chairman of ICSC, serving the 2008-2009 term. Fiala is currently president and COO of shopping center REIT Regency Centers.

GL Commercial broke ground for Canyon Town Center, a 200,000-sq.-ft. grocery-anchored shopping center in Boynton Beach, Fla. Completion is scheduled for late 2008.

GVA Williams New Jersey hired Dick Hecker as first vice president. Prior to joining GVA Williams, Hecker served as senior director of acquisitions and originations with Palisades Financial, LLC. He has 20 years of experience.

ARC Properties, Inc. appointed Michael Holl as vice president of site acquisition. Prior to joining ARC, Holl worked at Jeffery Realty Inc. He has more than 10 years of experience.

Sudberry Properties, Inc. started construction on the Marketplace at Santee, a $28 million, 71,530-sq.-ft. neighborhood shopping center in Santee, Calif. Completion is scheduled for November 2008.

Centro Properties Group completed an $11.7 million renovation of Southland Shopping Center, an 87,000-sq.-ft. community shopping center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.

Combined Properties, Inc. hired Numa Jerome, Jr. as senior vice president of East Coast leasing. Jerome has more than 15 years of experience in real estate development. Prior to joining Combined Properties, he worked at Acadia Realty Trust.

GreenbergFarrow hired Brian Moran to launch its construction management department. Prior to joining GreenbergFarrow, Moran served as director of development with Brinker International.

Beacon Realty Capital hired Jeffrey Potter as vice president. Potter has 14 years of experience in property investment. Prior to joining Beacon Realty, he served as vice president and senior commercial real estate lender with Irwin Union Bank.

AmeriBid appointed Fran Weichsel as vice president. Prior to joining AmeriBid, Weichsel served as a sales manager with the National Property Disposition Center, Fannie Mae's foreclosure division.

Regency Centers appointed Scott Prigge as senior vice president of national property operations. Previously, Prigge served as vice president of property operations for the east coast with the company.

Regency Centers completed redevelopment of Shoppes of Kildaire, a shopping center in Cary, N.C.

2075 Holdings broke ground on 72nd and Broadway, a 48,000-sq.-ft. retail property in New York City. The space is part of a 19-story luxury rental tower.

DAVACO, Inc. appointed Pat Doak as national account executive. Doak has eight years of experience in client services, retail operations and project management. Prior to joining DAVACO, he served as national account manager with Feizy Imports.

Diversified Project Management hired Patricia Forbes as project executive. Forbes has more than 25 years of experience in management. Prior to joining Diversified Project Management, she served as vice president of development services with Paradigm Properties.
