Developers Diversified Realty has just opened a 475,000-square-foot open-air center in Apex, N.C. called Beaver Creek Commons. The $25.3 million center is anchored by a SuperTarget, Lowe's and OfficeMax. Developers Diversified plans two additional phases of Beaver Creek Commons that will be about 650,000 square feet for an opening in spring 2005.

Levin Corp. has hired Rose Evans as its vice president of property management. Evans has 17 years of retail management experience, most recently as vice president/regional property manager for Advance Realty Group.

The Mills Corp. has named Sir Frank Lampl and Colombe Nicholas to its board. Lampl has been the chairman and CEO of construction management company Bovis Group. Nicholas is the former president and CEO of Anne Klein Group.

Mancini Duffy has hired Marian Crawford as a project manager for the firm's retail group. Crawford has 25 years of experience in retail design and previously worked as an interior design consultant.

Poag & McEwen Co. opened the first phase of its Shops at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor, Conn., which has 285,000 square feet of space. The development is Connecticut's first lifestyle center and is built to resemble a New England village. Tenants include Ann Taylor Loft, Coldwater Creek, Johnny Rockets and Williams-Sonoma

Jones Lang LaSalle named Karen Raquet senior vice president and client relationship manager of retail. She will be responsible for business development and relationship management for current and new clients in the Northeast.
