Trammell Crow Co. appoints new retail development VP

Trammell Crow Company (NYSE: TCC), one of the nation’s largest diversified commercial real estate firms, has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Morris to Vice President of Retail Development.

In his new role, Mr. Morris is responsible for executing the Retail Development aspects for Trammell Crow Company’s San Diego division. He will focus on identifying properties suitable for development, constructing retail corporate build-to-suits and acquiring retail centers throughout Southern California. According to Trammell Crow Company’s Managing Director, Dorcey Abshier, "Adding Jeff Morris to our San Diego operations helps us elevate our retail platform in a market where our institutional and corporate clients want more product. Jeff has an exceptional reputation with users and brokers alike. We are excited to have Jeff here and expect to substantially grow our retail portfolio with his leadership."

Prior to accepting role of Vice President of Retail Development, Mr. Morris was the Vice President of Leasing & Development for Landgrant Development in San Diego. He was accountable for single tenant build to suit development with national credit tenants and the company’s leasing program in the southwest. Mr. Morris was responsible for 3 million sq. ft. of community, neighborhood, entertainment and factory outlet retail shopping center space in California and Nevada. In addition, he was responsible for the project management and development of 150,000 square feet of single tenant build to suit retail space, and participated in the negotiations of over 500 consummated retail leases with national and regional anchor, pad and shop tenants.

Mr. Morris has a Bachelors of Science in Business and Finance from San Diego State University and is a member of ICSC and the Urban Land Institute.
