Kmart cuts IT staff

Troy, Mich. — Locally based Kmart Corp. recently eliminated 135 positions in its information technology department, one of its largest divisions. The cuts were comprised of 110 employee and 25 contracted technology-related positions and represented approximately 10% of the IT work force. Earlier this year, 350 Kmart employees lost their jobs.
