Kmart revives BlueLight Specials

Troy, Mich. – Locally based Kmart is resurrecting its signature BlueLight Special discounts, effective immediately. The Specials will occur on the hour every hour at all 2,100-plus of the retailer’s stores and will last about 20 to 25 minutes at a time.
The BlueLight Specials also will be available on BlueLight.com every time a Special takes place. Despite the fact that the return of the BlueLight Special will be supported by a new ad campaign, Kmart plans to reduce its advertising spending by $200 million this year.
