Troy, Mich. – Locally based Kmart Corp. recently reported that it is rolling out new technologies to its stores, chain-wide, to provide state-of-the art service to its customers.

The company has begun installation of self-service checkouts, with about 300 units in place. Other technologies online for the rollout include pre-scanning of shopper's carts, quick-response restocking measures and Kmart’s pharmacy interactive voice response system.
