World Wide Video sells security products to U.S. Border Patrol

Sep 21, 2001 12:00 PM, Misty Reagin

Culpeper, Va. – In response to the activities in New York and Washington, D.C. last week, locally based World Wide Video Inc. (WWV) recently received an order from the U.S. Border Patrol to evaluate WWV's technologies in monitoring the United States/Mexican border. The order consisted of Centurions, Digital Video Banks (DVBs) and a DVB Playback Station.

The DVB consists of a 60 GB removable hard drive capable of storing 30 days worth of high-quality audio/video surveillance data, which can be instantly retrieved. The DVB can be combined with the Centurion, which will enable the DVB to detect a significant event; call back via the Centurion, a central security office; and transmit real time video, audio and data.
