Wal-Mart expanding in China

Bentonville, Ark. – Locally based Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is continuing its expansion in Asia. The company has been operating in China since 1995 and currently has stores in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Dalian, Fuzhou and Shantou.
In addition to Wal-Mart’s plans to open locations in Beijing, the retailer also plans to set up an office in Shanghai to purchase merchandise from local markets.
