DMX Music and AEI Music merger cleared

Apr 12, 2001 12:00 PM, Misty Milioto

Los Angeles – The proposed merger of locally based DMX Music Inc. and Seattle-based AEI Music Inc. was cleared to proceed by the United States Department of Justice. DMX and AEI plan to create a new company that will provide professionally programmed music to consumers and businesses throughout the world.

Once DMX and AEI secure all necessary consents, including financing commitments for ongoing operations of the business, cash payments to AEI shareholders, and other closing conditions, the two companies will determine the closing date. They will then move forward in implementing a joint sales and marketing plan, naming the new company, and constructing the executive and management teams.
