Walgreens Goes Green

Drugstore chain Walgreens seems to be taking its name literally. The company recently reached a deal with ImaginIt Inc. to install solar electric systems at 96 stores and two distribution centers in California and 16 more stores in New Jersey. Solar roofs will enable the stores to generate between 20 percent and 50 percent of their electricity needs on site.
